Scott McEwan and Andrew Harwood have come together to create a new series of works entitled Max Attitude vs. Skinny Divine. These photographs play with gender stereotypes in the worlds of wrestling and drag. Dress-up in wrestling and lady drag are huge creative elements in both of these artists' lives. This show mischievously merges these institutions through photography and performance. The artists use light boxes, photographs, t-shirts and other ephemera as the media.

McEwan and Harwood have been collaborating in the area of dress-up and drag and photography for several years using Will Munro's former club night Vazaleen as a backdrop and inspiration.

Scott McEwan is a Toronto-based artist, wrestler and educator. McEwan's recent exhibitions include the Anti-Riverdale Art Walk, The Toronto Alternative Art Fair International and an exhibition in Minneapolis.

Andrew Harwood is a Toronto artist, curator and part-time drag queen. Harwood's recent exhibitions include Bikes at the Museum of Canadian Contemporary Art, and Biker at Paul Petro Contemporary Art, Toronto. Harwood will collaborate with Allyson Mitchell in Hardware & Mitchcraft’s Defend the Sugarbush in Los Angeles in September.
