Nina Roos
Between a Fifth of a Second and 24 Hours (1998)
February 23 - March 31
Nina Roos ( born 1956) is one of the most important contemporary painters
in the Nordic countries. "She has been an excellent painter for many years,
and her recent works are among her best. They are extremely convincing, specific
to her, enigmatic, yet accessible", (Lars Nittve, director of Moderna
Museet, Stockholm). Recent exhibitions include retrospectives at the Kiasma
Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki (2001) and the Malmö Konsthall (2002).
She is the recipient of the prestigious Carnegie Art Award (2004). Roos' latest
work is currently on exhibition at Galerie Anhava, Helsinki, to March 4, 2007.
